Using two stock images, I created an artistic and stylistic double-exposure image incorporating both. This was done by combined both images in Photoshop, and utilizing some of its tools and effects. This helped me gain a better understanding of the non-destructive tools in available in Photoshop. The first image was prepped using the feathering tool and add a fading effect. The landscape was then placed over the stock photo and set to a blend mode to make it slightly transparent. A gradient fill was then added to the landscape image with two complementary colors to make the final result.
